Having the Boggart be defeated by laughter is, in fact, quite logical, but the author's choice of the spell and its results, and her choice in handing it to [[Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Characters/Neville Longbottom|Neville]] for the first and the most effective invocations, seems somehow inspired.
