Dorcas was a Gryffindor and therefore shared a dorm with Lily Evans, Marlene Mckinnon and Mary MacDonald. They grew close over the years and were obviously good friends.
However, with Marlene, Dorcas formed a special bond which later grew into romantic love. Marlene, also a lesbian, felt the same way and they became girlfriends.
 
Dorcas was also somewhat close with the Marauders. She played quidditch together with James Potter and Sirius Black and formed a friendship with them.
