In [[..Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Characters/Harry Potter/]]'s explanation, Petunia slips that she knows what a dementor is. Before they are able to evict Harry from their house, Petunia receives a howler which states "remember my last". The Howler, we later find out is from [[..Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Characters/Albus Dumbledore/]], who has written Petunia PRIOR to leaving [[..Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Characters/Harry Potter/]] on the Dursley's doorstep. His "last" pertains to the letter that [[..Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Characters/Albus Dumbledore/]] left with Harry for Petunia, the night he left him on the Dursley's doorstep. After receiving the howler, Petunia was adamant that Harry will stay.

It appears that before she goes to bed at night she has to scrub down the kitchen completely; in [[../..Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Books/Half-Blood Prince/Chapter 2|''Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince'']] we see her with her nightdress and housecoat, wearing rubber gloves and clearly in the middle of her bedtime wipe-down of all the kitchen surfaces. In [[../..Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Books/Chamber of Secrets/Chapter 1|''Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets'']], we learn also that she expects to take all day cleaning up the house for the Masons, dinner guests and potential clients of Vernon Dursley.
