== Strengths ==
Alecto Was Known To Punish Students With The Crutacius Curse And Chain Them Up. Many Hogwarts Teachers Such As Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick tried to protect many students from being punished. Dumbledore's Army led by Neville at the time saved many students from punishment. Alecto once Slashed Neville in the face when he asked how much Muggle Blood she and Amycus had. Terry Boot became a victim of the Carrows when he was caught trying to free a first-year tied up in chains. Intelligence was not a strength of Alecto.
Alecto compensates for her lack of intelligence by the use of unrestrained violence and Unforgivable Curses, most notably the [[Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Magic/Crucio|Cruciatus curse]]. It is debatable whether this could be considered a strength.

While there is apparently some closeness between herself and her brother, Amycus Carrow, the only dealings we see her having with other people are situations in which she is operating from a position of power, or dueling. Her usual mode of interpersonal relationship seems to be taunting. An example of her taunting was when she laughed loudly and taunted Albus Dumbledore moments before his death. Unlike other Death Eaters, Alecto trusted Snape whenimmediately heupon joinedhis backreturn to the Death Eaters. Alecto disliked Neville when he asked her how much Muggle Blood she had.
From her treatment of the students, as related by Neville, we can safely guess that Alecto disliked any sign of independent thought from the students. In this, she seems to be following Voldemort's lead with his own underlings.
