Harry spots Draco passing the shop alone. Using the [[Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Magic/Invisibility Cloak|Invisibility Cloak]], Harry, Ron, and Hermione trail Draco to [[Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Places/Knockturn Alley|Knockturn Alley]] where he goes to [[Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Places/Borgin and Burkes|Borgin and Burkes]]. Using Weasley's [[Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Magic/Extendable Ear|Extendable Ears]], they overhear Draco asking how to repair something. Draco threatens Borgin, showing him something on his arm, but the trio is unable to see it because it is hidden by the large black cabinet Harry hid inside [[Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Books/Chamber of Secrets/Chapter 4|four years earlier]]. Draco says [[Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Characters/Fenrir Greyback|Fenrir Greyback]], a 'family friend', will be, "dropping in from time-to-time to see that you're giving this matter your full attention." Malfoy also orders him to reserve an item for him, and not to tell anyone. After Draco leaves, Hermione enters the store pretending to be looking for a birthday present for her "friend" Draco. She hopes to learn what Draco asked Borgin to reserve, but he orders her to leave.
They return to Fred and George's store under the Invisibility Cloak, and, in response to Mrs. Weasley's worried questions about their whereabouts, claim they were in the backroom.
