WeHarry noted, and Dumbledore's vindication at the end of the last book, that Harry and Dumbledore's vindication had resulted in Harry once again being lionized; while we don'tnot actively see itseen here, we dosomewhat sense, to a certain extent, that Harry is uncomfortable with hisagain being once again famous, and once again athe hero. While we, as onlookers, can see that Harry acted heroically inbased the light ofon the information he had, and that by his actions he alerted the Wizarding world to Voldemort's return, Harry sees himself as having beenfeels duped, and having indirectly causedresponsible thefor Sirius' death of one who was very near and dear to him. ItDumbledore is certain that Dumbledore iscertainly aware of this ambivalence, and while he is awarerealizes that Harry cannot emotionally heal at Privet Drive, he also knows that Harry's protection from Voldemort depends on his returning there each summer. ItDumbledore is likely that Dumbledoreprobably calculated the minimum length of time that Harry would have toneeded stay at Privet Drive to retain his protection, and has arranged to move him to a more appropriate place, almost certainly [[Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Places/The Burrow|the Burrow]], as soon as he safely can.

Dumbledore's injured hand indicates that sinister events may be underway in the wizardingEizarding world that Harry is not yet privy to. For whatever reason, Dumbledore chooseskeeps to keep themthis from Harry, at least for now.

A small highlight on Petunia's character is seen here; as part of her bedtime preparations, Petunia apparently cleans and disinfects the kitchen. We have already seen that she is able to find endless cleaning jobs for Harry, and [[Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Characters/Nymphadora Tonks|Tonks]] had earlier mentioned that the house seemed overly clean. It is possible that Petunia suffers from a trace of obsessive compulsive disorder, and this shows up in a need to have everything spotless and germ-free. Harry's thoughts about her dismay at having Kreacher appear on her parlor carpet are not unexpected; Harry clearly is aware of this cleanliness fetish of Petunia's.
