Draco attempts to steal it during breakfast, but he is interrupted by [[Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Characters/Minerva McGonagall|Professor McGonagall's]] arrival. At the flying lesson, Neville falls off his [[Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Magic/Brooms|broom]], and injuresinjuring himself. The instructor, [[Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Characters/Rolanda Hooch|Madam Hooch]], takes him to the hospital wing, ordering everyone else to remain on the ground. Draco spots Neville's dropped Remembrall, and, grabbing it, takes off on his broom to place it in a tree for Neville to fetch later. Harry flies after him, discovering that flying on a broomstick is something he is naturally talented at. Draco changes his mind andinstead hurls the Remembrall away, but Harry dives after it and catches it mid-air, just inches above the ground. He is immediately accosted by Professor McGonagall, who has been watching from her office. She drags him away from the lesson, apparently in disgrace, but to his surprise introduces him to the Gryffindor [[Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Major Events/Quidditch|Quidditch]] team captain, [[Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Characters/Oliver Wood|Oliver Wood]], saying Harry is the new Seeker.

Hermione, particularly, is unwelcome, as she has been nagging at themattempted to try and prevent the duel. Harry'sThe groupstudents runsrun off, diving into the forbidden third-floor corridor to hide. They evade Filch, but are dismayed thatfind their hiding place is occupied by a huge, ferocious three-headed dog. They escape and returnback to the common room, where Hermione points outmentions that the dog was standing onatop a trap door and, apparently guarding something. Harry concludes the dog ismust be guarding the same package [[Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Characters/Rubeus Hagrid|Hagrid]] retrieved from [[Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Places/Gringotts|Gringotts Bank]].
